I have always had a creative soul. My whole life I have been painting, taking photos, sewing, creating collages, and decorating every thing I could get my hands on. When looking at options that would allow me to stay home with my babies, photography seemed like the obvious decision.
A few short years later, and I was running a successful wedding photography business and thriving. Photography was something I have always had a natural talent for so the transition was seamless. In any spare time I had, I was taking photos for baby clothing brands and I started learning embroidery.
Everything started to change during my first year as a fully booked wedding photographer. I was shooting 2-3 weddings every weekend during wedding season and I was exhausted and overwhelmed. On top of that we found out that my husband got a new assignment to Florida and we would be moving in just a few short months, which meant I would have to essentially rebuild my business from scratch.
To make a stressful situation even harder, I went through a horrible miscarriage and unexpectedly got pregnant right after. The pregnancy with my third was so challenging. I was dealing with some complications, and finishing up wedding season, and packing our home to move across the country.
Suddenly my priorities were once again shifted. When we moved to Florida I was six months pregnant so starting my photography business at that time did not make much sense. To fill my time, I started sharing my pregnancy journey and our homeschool life on social media and I had no clue that it would turn into something I love as much as I do.
Flash forward to now. We are settled in Florida, I have three healthy and beautiful babies, and I have found a new joy in sharing my life online. Sharing everything from our homeschool journey to creations I have made to moments of anxiety as a mom in an unfamiliar city. Motherhood really truly changed every part of my life and I am so thankful.
