hey there

i'm Megan . I am a mama to three amazing babies, i'm a military spouse, and i am a lover of all things creative. my days are spent homeschooling, creating beautiful things, and sharing it all with the most wonderful community.

Becoming a mom changed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined. All of a sudden every single priority I had completely changed. The moment we saw those little pink lines, I knew that I wanted to find a way to stay home while still assisting in providing for our growing family.

Motherhood sparked a love of photography, art, embroidery, quilting, homeschooling, crafting with my babies, and so much more. Every moment since becoming a mom has filled me with inspiration and a desire to share my heart with others. I could not imagine doing anything else and I can't wait to continue to grow.

I have always had a creative soul. My whole life I have been painting, taking photos, sewing, creating collages, and decorating every thing I could get my hands on. When looking at options that would allow me to stay home with my babies, photography seemed like the obvious decision.

A few short years later, and I was running a successful wedding photography business and thriving. Photography was something I have always had a natural talent for so the transition was seamless. In any spare time I had, I was taking photos for baby clothing brands and I started learning embroidery.

Everything started to change during my first year as a fully booked wedding photographer. I was shooting 2-3 weddings every weekend during wedding season and I was exhausted and overwhelmed. On top of that we found out that my husband got a new assignment to Florida and we would be moving in just a few short months, which meant I would have to essentially rebuild my business from scratch.

To make a stressful situation even harder, I went through a horrible miscarriage and unexpectedly got pregnant right after. The pregnancy with my third was so challenging. I was dealing with some complications, and finishing up wedding season, and packing our home to move across the country.

Suddenly my priorities were once again shifted. When we moved to Florida I was six months pregnant so starting my photography business at that time did not make much sense. To fill my time, I started sharing my pregnancy journey and our homeschool life on social media and I had no clue that it would turn into something I love as much as I do.

Flash forward to now. We are settled in Florida, I have three healthy and beautiful babies, and I have found a new joy in sharing my life online. Sharing everything from our homeschool journey to creations I have made to moments of anxiety as a mom in an unfamiliar city. Motherhood really truly changed every part of my life and I am so thankful.

my journey

a few more things...

- I have been married to my husband, Matt, for five years. He is in the Air Force and works so hard and we are so thankful.

- I am the mama of the three most amazing babies. Mila is almost five, Ari is three, and Luca is almost one. They are the light of my life.

- In 2023 I read 71 books. Growing up, my parents instilled a love of reading and I really can't remember a time where I wasn't reading something. My fav genres are literary fiction, romance, thriller, and fantasy.

- I got my bachelors degree in criminal justice and was in the process of becoming a police officer when my husband proposed. I knew we would be moving and starting a family so changed direction and I have never looked back.

- My parents were in the military so I actually have really never known anything but military life. We moved around every three years and I have had so many opportunities to meet new people and travel the world.

- In college I was super active in collegiate ministry and fell in love with ministry. After college, I moved home to Texas and worked in a church doing all of their communication. It was a beautiful job and I learned so much, but it also really messed with my heart for church and ministry.

- One time in high school I got points taken off an poster assignment because it was "more than necessary." all due to my inability to not do the absolute most. I have never forgotten that and probably never will. One thing about me, I will always be over the top and do more than necessary.

- I never imagined that homeschool would be part of my motherhood journey but it has been the greatest thing in my life.

- I am super tall (5'11") and its something I have always felt a little self conscious about. Being tall is great, but was challenging growing up.

- I am very loyal. I love people and making connections. I am blunt and honest but also a really great listener. I am an older sister, very type A, great at organizing, I am not always the best at responding to texts or putting myself out there, I hate making excuses, crying makes me uncomfortable, and I am a deeply happy person.
